Phase I: Concept Development and Pre-Planning

Estimating

This first phase begins with the client contacting Renehan’s Home Improvements and requesting an estimate of the desired home improvement project.  Initial ideas are shared and initial feedback on design concepts and schedules are discussed.  After Renehan’s is hired to complete the job through a project contract, the client and Renehan’s Home Improvement will begin detailed execution planning and material listing.

Phase II:  Design and Detailed Planning

Reviewing Plans

During Phase II, previously discussed planning topics are further refined and developed.  In addition, Michael Renehan will apply for and secure all required city and/or county permits.  In addition, the homeowner may need to obtain approval from their homeowner’s association (HOA) depending on the project being done and local HOA rules and bylaws.  Keep in mind that some projects require permits and HOA approval before any work can begin so it is best to be pro-active with these issues.

Phase III:  Project Execution and Inspections

Work in progress

Construction begins with Phase III.  Keep in mind that depending on the scope and magnitude of your home improvement project, that your family may be slightly inconvenienced.  Renehan’s Home Improvements will strive as best as possible to make your project time frame as least disruptive to your family and lifestyle.  It is our mission to satisfy your needs; however we encourage you to understand the realities of major remodeling projects such as being prepared for small schedule changes due to government inspections or material availability.  In addition, you may experience more dust than usual.  We will do everything we can to protect your furnishings and goods and will respect your house and family as if it were ours.  We believe that good communication between the client and contractor is key to getting through this phase.  We encourage good and thorough joint inspections during this phase so that we can progress forward to our next phase of construction.

Phase IV:  Project Completion and Customer Satisfaction

Finished Basement

Hooray!  Your home improvement dreams have come true!  We will ensure that standards that are set forth in the contract are held and that our obligations have been fulfilled.  We are confident that you will be very satisfied with our quality workmanship.  Take your time and enjoy the benefits of an addition, finished basement or upgraded kitchen/ bathroom.  Invite your friends over to celebrate and let them know about your experience with Renehan’s Home Improvements!
